      SMA ready to use teats

When my daughter was first born I knew that I wanted to breastfeed and after a bit of a difficult start due to a traumatic birth experience it took us a little while to get the knack of it. However, months later we are both in a place where it usually takes no effort at all and I have no plan on stopping any time soon, but I do occasionally need a break - a night off. I do try and express milk for the nights that I know my husband is going to take her, but really I don't always have the time or get the opportunity to express, especially during some of her cluster feeding days. So we always keep a few pre-made bottles of first infant formula SMA milk to hand and some of the SMA ready to use teats.

The SMA ready to use teats are just that - ready to use teats that are individually packaged and pre-sterilised. The SMA teats are designed to be used alongside their SMA pre-made formula so all you need for a quick and easy feed is the 250 ml bottle of SMA formula and one of the teats and your baby can happily be drinking within minutes. It really is that simple, the SMA ready to use teats just screw onto the top of the formula bottle and off you, it is even simpler and less fuss than pouring the pre-made formula into a separate feeding bottle.

The teats are suitable from birth onwards and are a slow drip suited to younger babies. The SMA ready to use teats are nothing special, but I have found them to be quite a good quality and you can easily re-sterilise them after the first use and keep them around for the future rather than always buying new teats. Personally, we have quite an easy baby who isn't overly picky about what type of teats she will feed from and we haven't had any problems when using the ready sterilised teats. In my opinion they just look like a pretty standard and generic bottle teat.

I was surprised to find that the ready to use SMA teats where really quite reasonably priced, with a packet of two teats retailing for around £1.50 in supermarkets like Asda. Considering the price of the teats and the fact that you can reuse them as long as you keep sterilise them again I really believe that they represent great value for money. I just love the ease of use of the teats and really at three in the morning when you are a bit bleary eyed and tired having something that is as simple to use as the SMA ready to use teats with the pre-made bottles of formula can be priceless. I also imagine that a packet of the SMA ready to use teats and some bottles would be great to have as a back up in any changing bag for any unforeseen circumstances.

Personally, I would not hesitate to recommend the SMA teats and in my opinion they really do deserve the full five out of five star rating.
