When our daughter turned a year old, my husband and I thought it would be a nice idea to get her a little paddling pool. We were fully aware that paddling pools are not for the under 3 but we felt as long as she was fully supervised at all times and there was only a little bit of water in it she would be fine (I know that the smallest amount of water can be lethal but this wasn't an issue as someone would always be with her when she was in the pool).
We ended up purchasing this Wet Set paddling pool for our daughter from Argos as it was only £6.99.
When we got it home we were really pleased with it. It was brightly coloured, not overly big measuring 168 x 46 cm and it was also supported by the BabyShallow design for young bathers.
The pool was simple to inflate as each ring needs to be inflated seperately. The rings are all different colours - pink, yellow, green and purple with the bottom of the pool being blue. We had an electirc pump so this was blown up in under 2 minutes.
We filled it up with warm water to the middle of the first ring so that there was enough water to cover our daughter's legs and also so she could have a splash about. She absolutely loved it. She squealed with laughter from start to finish, very much enjoying splashing Mummy and Daddy who were sitting at the sides!
What I really liked about this pool was that once the summer had been and gone and winter was upon us we could inflate the pool again and put ball pit balls in it and she used to use the pool as a ball bit indoors!
This pool was very well made and definately served its purpose until it ended up with a rip in it from being put near a garden tool. It was well made and of a high quality. It was really good for my daughter just to have her first pool experience and still be safe. Excellent all round.
Great fun for kids over the age of 3.
