~ Tesco Bibs ~
Whilst I was pregnant my mother in law went a little bit mad and bought a huge host of baby items in preperation for my new arrival, in with the bundle of stuff were a pack of Tesco Value baby bibs.
I don't like to think of myself as a brand snob yet I was quite unsure as to if I actually wanted to use Tesco Value Bibs on my little one! I just assumed they would feel quite rough and cheap although through the clear bag style packaging they did look okay!
If I am honest I have a lot of bibs anyway but I rarely use them! None of my boys liked having bibs put on them as babies (imagine me trying it now haha!) so I didn't use them much but in saying that they do come in useful for wiping faces when they are covered in food!
These bibs I found were actually perfect! They are quite simple design wise yet the soft material is ideal for mopping dirty mouths (and hands, and noses, etc).
Each bib is white with a coloured trim around the edge, I know that there is a red, purple and blue but I can't quite remember the other colours! Anyway, the white bib part is a very soft towelling like material and they have a simple velcro fastening to the back which goes around babies neck and fastens at the back of the neck.
There is no plastic backing to these bibs so they won't stop baby getting wet yet they do protect clothes quite well from the orangeness of baby food!
My little one has always been quite a sicky baby so we did find that we used bibs quite often with him, especially after he finished a bottle. These bibs are soft enough for him to wear whilst feeding and even when he would fall asleep in my arms.
They wash very well, I did worry at first that the coloured edges may run in the wash however this was never a problem and they actually wash brilliantly even at higher temperatures.
I still use them now and they look as good as new.
When I went into Tesco I saw them by the baby milk etc (in that aisle) and I am sure they were priced at a bargain 74p! If it wasn't that low I know they were definitely under £1. I have never seen them placed with the baby clothing so I think they are just placed with the feeding stuff (just in case your looking for them!)
Even though these are not plastic backed bibs I did find they done a great job at well, being a bib. They protected clothes from mess and were soft enough to use to clean my little one up after feeding.
Thanks for reading :o) x
Summary: Great value bibs from Tesco
