... (bargain I thought), I could see they were slightly thinner but this didn't really bother me so in my bra they went. Next came feeding time and this is were the real problems began, the pads just can't cope with any liquid and I was absolutley drenched down the one side of my top (not a good look). I did give them a few chances but they let me down each time, maybe I could change them more often but thats just false economy. They also go quite crispy if they get the smallest amount of milk on them. I think I will stic...more

Premium Review Tesco Breast Pads: No leaky boobs here! (480 words)

When I had my first son my 'let-down reflex' was very random and my milk flow was out of control. I would constantly be paranoid that I had a lovely wet patch on my tops which has resulted in me picking up a very bad and embaressing habit. I find I will be walking along and notice that I'm caressing my breast to make sure I can't feel a wet patch and whenever I felt my boobs 'letting down' I quickly wip my hand down my top to make sure my breast pads are on my nipple so I don't end up looking like I've just been for a swim. I do get some funny looks and my hubby is constantly telling me to leave my boobs alone! I breastfed my first son for 17months at which ...  Read the complete review

I gave birth to my daughter Isabelle in November and have breast fed ever since. I am loving every minute of it apart from the leaks (and the silly bras!) I want a pad which doesn't restrict what I wear too much, since the bras do that enough already! These pads come in packs of 40 (£2.29) and 80 (£3.99) so they are well priced compared to other brands and since I shop in tescos they just go on my weekly shop. I find I need just under 80 a week. They come in a nice discreet pink cardboard box which doesn't look hideous in the bath room unlike some of the bigger boxes with breasts on (which my 4 year old is fascinated by!) The pads do ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Breast Pads: Why pay more for brand names? (243 words)

Imagine my dismay when my husband returned from Tescos with their own brand breast pads. Up to that point I had been using Avent disposables which on hindsight weren't as good as I then thought they were (see review). Not wanting to send my husband back to Tescos to get 'the right one's' I decided to give the Tescos breast pads a try. I was immidiately suprised and pleased by them. They were extremely soft, comfortable, absorbent and they didn't slip around inside my bra..........something which I found was a problem with the Avent ones. I'm now using Tescos breast pads all the time. I was worried that they wouldn't hold all ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco disposable pads (157 words)

I loved these pads, although I mainly used washable ones I kept disposables in stock for emergencies (like when I was behind on the washing!). They are a nice shape with an amusing "dent" in the middle where your nipple is supposed to go! The shape is nice and tapered at the edges so they are less obvious under clothes. They are not very absorbent, but I found this with all disposable pads. I had to change the pad as soon as I'd felt a leak, and in the early days these pads were not sufficient to cope with a single let down reflex. I did find that my clothes got a soaking more than once when I relied on these, I would not rely on them when out and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Breast Pads: tesco breast pads (243 words)

Where do I start, I tried about 15 different breast pads with my son as had a really strong let down reflex so needed something to keep me dry, especially at night when I would have to wake several times in the early stages because I would be wet though. My partner actually bought these when my son was admitted to hospital and i needed a quick fix, tesco's happen to be next door and being a typical bloke he picked the cheapest option. They do look quite nice in comparison to other cheap makes as they are thin and have a dent for the nipple, however they lack any real fitted shape and are really thin and flimsy. they also come tightly packed in a ...  Read the complete review
