Advantages: cheap, many uses, travellable, compact in your suitcase

Disadvantages: none

I bought a box of Tesco My Baby's Sterilising Tablets just before we went away on holiday in April. At home I had been using a microwave steam steriliser and normally on the go had used a handy reusable bag that pops in the microwave. They can be quite expesive to replace once they have been used 20 times so I opted for the sterilising tablets on holiday.

Each box contains 56 tablets and I paid 71p for the box. I believe the price remains the same. The pack suggests to use one tablet for each 4 pints of water. I tended to use 2 tablets for each 'wash'. The solution is useful for 24 hours but then must be disposed of and a fresh solution making. So effectively if you were we use two tablets per day this box would last for 4 weeks. I am about to take my 3rd holiday this year and have enough tablets for that trip.

I would definitely recommend using these while you are travelling on holiday. Firstly, because you may not know if your accomodation has a microwave for you to use the reuseable bags. Secondly, because sterilising fluid is more expensive. Thirdly because they take up very little room in your luggage. Fourthly, they are very cheap. And, fifth .... they can be used for washing down worktops and tiles etc so make a great cleaning agent. We actually used the 'left over' solution to wipe over the kitchen work tops and chopping boards while we were in our apartment in Spain.

These were a great but for me and I would definitely use again. I believe that Milton, a branded alternative are aroung £1.24 for a lot less tablets per box. Tesco wins.

Summary: Great Stuff
