Tommee Tippee Bottle and Teat Brush

Most of my bottles are Tommee Tippee but I do also have some Avent bottles to use along side. Before sterilisation you always need to clean the bottles and teats in warm soapy water and give them a good scrub using a bottle brush. I have gone through a fair few since having Jack but I think that this particular Tommee Tippee one has lasted me the best.

It cost a little more than the usual bog standard cheap brushes that I normally stick to buying but as my local Boots had run out of the cheap ones I was forced to buy a more expensive Tommee Tippee one at a price of about £3 which is about three times as much as I would usually pay.

This Brush by Tommee Tippie is made up of two colours one being white and the other a sort of blue green colour. It has a large rounded bristle head and a smaller end of bristles. The larger head for use on the bottle itself and the smaller bristles to give the teat a good clean.

The handle of this brush is much better and far more comfortable to use than my usual cheap brushes as it has a rubber handle that gives a better grip and means you can really get stuck into cleaning the bottles out well.

I would probably say that the cheap bottle brushes cost under a pound and usually last for less than a month. Where as this one I paid out around £3 and I have had it now for nearly three months and the bristles are not really looking at all worn out and I would think I have a fair bit of usage left in the brush itself.

When using this brush you can really give the bottles and teats a far better clean than with using a cheaper brush due to the sturdier handle and better grip. All round I would say that buy buying a cheaper one it is somewhat false economy as you are not getting as good a clean as you could get and you will have to replace them far more often.

Buying this Tommee Tippee one may have felt bad at the time of handing over a lot more money than usual but now I can see it was a much better option. It cleans easier and I will have to replace it much less.

4*s

Summary: works out better in the long run
