Introduction In my last review I mentioned that the bottles bought for my baby son (Dr Brown's) were causing too many niggles for us to continue using and that in their place we had switched to Tommee Tippee's. The 'Closer to Nature' range of Tommee Tippee nursing aids include bottles, teats, sterilisers etc and as we already have a TT steriliser it made sense for us to try out the bottles. This review will focus on the Newborn, stage 1 teats as these are the ones I have experience of but it's worth noting that there are varying sized teats available suitable for each stage of a babies development. The Bottles Available in varying ... Read the complete review

When pregnant with my first child and doing my baby shopping I purchased these tommee tippee bottles during an Asda baby event for £10, which for 6 bottles I think is an absolutely bargain. I was also lucky enough to pick up the matching steriliser in Mothercare half price not long afterwards so I saved myself a lot of money choosing this brand. A 6 pack of these 260ml bottles can be bought on Amazon at the moment for £10. There are also pink or blue decorated versions on Amazon which are more expensive priced from £17.61. The teats are extra wide and designed to effectively mimic the feel of a mother's breast. This makes it easier for the baby to ... Read the complete review

We used the Tommee Tippee bottles around 2 months after our daughter was born. She was originally on a different brand of bottles but suffered with reflux at the time. These bottles were recommended. They had a slower flow so she was not guzzling the milk down as quick. It massively improved the amount she kept down thus improving her weight greatly. The bottles come in a pack of 6. They are 260ml/9oz bottles and have the measurements on the side. The measurements are in millilitres and ounces. They are narrow in the middle. Having this in the middle helps the baby to hold the bottle on their own. They are each clear with a screw on lid. The teats are ... Read the complete review

With each of my children I tried to breastfeed but was unsuccessful and on searching for bottle tommee tippee closer to nature bottles are said to be as close as the shape of the breast as possible for an easy transition so I purchased these. **The bottles and teats** The bottles are designed to be held with comfort and so they have a dip each side of the bottle which transforms it into an hour glass shape and this makes it comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The bottles have markings down the side in both ml and fl oz so that you can tell how much feed you are making at a time very easily these are is solid black writing so even while there is ... When deciding what to do with feeding our second child it was agreed that we'd get some bottles so that I, as the dad, could do some feeding with some EBM (expressed breast milk) to try and balance out decent sleeping patterns. With a 7 year old at an important school changeover it seemed even more important than when he was born that we get a good amount of sleep between. The advantage of expressing when also breastfeeding is just that: to give you chance to balance your sleep patterns. I also feel though that it gives the dad more of a sense of purpose, as he's not able to feed through the breast. What this does require though is a bottle that actually ... Read the complete review
