We used Avent bottles with our first child and he suffered from terrible colic. While this probably wasn't related to our choice of bottle, we decided to switch to the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles for our second child, as we had heard that they could help avoid or relieve colic symptoms and wind. The bottles are much wider than most other bottles and the teat is more "nipple like", so they are indeed "closer to nature"! Our child did not suffer from colic or wind and got on really well with the bottles, which seemed to be a good fit. There are three different teats which control the speed of flow of milk / formula which start at number 1 for a newborn and continue to 3 for an older baby. These seemed to work perfectly for our child and it was easy to tell when he was getting frustrated by the slower flow, so we moved up a teat. We used with the Tommee Tippee Electronic Steam Steriliser which these bottles fitted perfectly.

Summary: Definitely my first choice of bottles
