Advantages: Great bottle, easy to use

Disadvantages: None

I tried breastfeeding my eldest daughter (who is now 3 years old) and the health visitor at the time suggested topping her up with formula at night, so I looked in Mothercare for the most 'natural' shaped teat and have been designed with breastfeeding experts the teat is meant to mimic the shape, movement of a breast to make it easier switching between the two. Tommee Tippee is a well known brand which I have always been pleased with so I felt confident these would be a good buy. These bottles also won an award in the Practical Parenting & Pregnancy 2011/2012 for the best bottle/teat. So I chose these bottles then (in 2009) and when I was pregnant with daughter number 2 (now 5 months old) I bought them again.

-- Looks and Ease of Use --

The bottles are clear and are a curved shape. They are wider at the top with a dip in the middle making it easy to hold. The measurements are marked on the side in a dark grey colour, both in ml and in ounces. the teats are clear and they simply pop in the screw top ring which attaches to the top of the bottle with a clear plastic lid to pop over the top.

There are 3 teat sizes available, size 1 - 0-3 months approx, size 2 from roughly 3 months to approx 6 months. Size 3 is the fastest size teat, from approx 6 months old. Obviously this varies for different babies. I bought the teats from amazon as found this the cheapest.

I wash these bottles with a tommee tippee closer to nature bottle brush as find this a great shape so get into all of the curved places, I then sterilise it in the closer to nature microwave steriliser which is quick and easy to use.

-- Price and Availability --

I actually bought my pack of 6 bottles from Asda when they had one of their baby events. I think I paid around £10 for the bottles, which I think is a really good price. They have a pack of 6 on Amazon at the moment for £11.50 with free delivery. They are available on the high street too at places like Mothercare although these tend to be more expensive.

-- Overall Summary --

I really like these bottles. If you were going to decided to buy them I would buy the closer to nature bottle insulated bags as these have been designed with their shape in mind so ensures a good fit. The only downside which I have found are that the measurements markers have scratched abit, other than that the bottles are still in great condition.

Thanks for reading.

Summary: A great bottle from a brand you can rely on
