We decided to use these bottles and I wanted to dual feed as much as possible before our son was born. I liked the design too which helped! These bottles work really well for what we wanted to achieve. My husband was able to feed our son at the same time as I continued to breastfeed and he was never once confused between them nor did ...  Read the complete review

These bottles came free with the steriliser i bought. Although i fully intended to breast feed i decided to cover all options in case i couldn't, fortunately everything went to plan but it was handy to have bottles for when i went my partner could help out with the odd bottle feed. When my daughter reached the age of 6 months i made the decision ...  Read the complete review

When my baby was born i was determined to breast feed. But unfortuantly it didnt work out so she had to go on to formula. Initial i had terrible trouble getting my baby to accept bottles. I started her off on these tommee tippee bottles and she didn't take well to them at all. The milk seemed to come out too fast for her even tho she was on the ...  Read the complete review

I decided from early on in my pregnancy that I would like to do combination feeding with my son - both formula and breast milk. I had heard from many people that it can often cause "nipple confusion" often with the baby rejecting either breast or bottle. Tommee Tippee's closer to nature bottles seemed to me to be the safest ...  Read the complete review

When I had my second son I knew that I wanted to express some milk for his night feeds as soon as was possible, but was given alot of information which made me worried about introducing a bottle too early as it can confuse very small babies as the suckling action is different for bottle and for breast, so I was hesitant to buy ...  Read the complete review

I was drawn into buying these bottles simply because when I was pregnant they were on offer in Tescos, along with all the accessories (steriliser, breast pump etc). These bottles claim to be the next best thing to breast feeding and should make it easy for you to alternate between the two. However when I had my son I was unable to breast feed. ...  Read the complete review

We had to start mix feeding my daughter when she was only a few weeks old due to reflux and slow weight gain. I got these bottles due to the wide teat and in the hopes that she'd continue to breastfeed as well as take the bottles. You can buy these in 4oz or 8oz sizes, and there are 4 different speeds of teat available. All of the ...  Read the complete review

I decided whilst I was pregnant that I would exclusively breastfeed my son and so resisted giving him a bottle for as long as possible. However, I soon realised that it would be good if my husband could be involved in feeding our son as well by giving him a bottle of expressed breast milk. As I wanted to continue to breastfeed ...  Read the complete review

This is my first review in over a year and I can't believe time has gone so fast! We used Avent bottles with our first child and he suffered from terrible colic. While this probably wasn't related to our choice of bottle, we decided to switch to the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles for our second child, as we had heard that they could help avoid or relieve colic symptoms and wind. The bottles are much wider than most ...  Read the complete review

These bottles were our first choice when buying for our son and I will buy them again for our second child. The shorter, fatter design allows them to be held closer to the body than conventional bottles, allowing me to replicate the breast feeding position, holding my baby closer. The nibs are also meant to replicate the nipple allowing easier ...  Read the complete review

I bought a tommee Tippee steriliser for the microwave which can also be used with cold water and steralising tablets, handy as i forgot to check if the microwave was big enough, this came with three bottles and i went out and bought two more as i found them to be perfect to hold when feeding my new born baby and three was not enough. The closer to nature bottles really are very good and I have never had any need to use any other type of bottles with my baby. I started off breast feeding my baby for the first two weeks and giving him some breast milk that I had previously pumped for the night from a little cup as I was too scared to use bottles incase he got confused with the ...  Read the complete review

The closer to nature bottles are a fabulous idea. I have used these from birth with my baby as i was unable to breast feed her. She seems to respond very well to them. The teat seems to be just the right size for her little mouth and when using these bottles she hasn't had any problems with wind or colic. I do however find that they are ...  Read the complete review

Badly designed (180 words)

These bottles are a nightmare to sterilise as the teat is very difficult to thread through the ring and no matter how you load the steriliser (or what brand of steriliser you use) it is very hard to sterilise more than 4 bottles at a time (5 if you really pack them in). Also due to the odd shape of them they are too wide to fit in most bottle ...  Read the complete review

The Tommee Tippee bottles are available in a few different styles, the shorter ones perfect for newborns then the longer ones perfect as babies get older and require more milk. I believe they also do an anti-colic range. They generally come in packs of 3 and can be found in most baby shops or supermarkets. The teats all come as flow size 1 and ...  Read the complete review

I bought the Closer To Nature bottles since I was planning to breastfeed & had read that these bottles closely mimicked the breast & were easier for baby to take / switch between bottle & breast.
