Advantages: Comfortable & fairly easy to use.

Disadvantages: Not suitable as a long term solution as wrists soon start to ache.

Although I planned to breast feed right from the moment I found out I was pregnant, I still wanted to be prepared in case I couldn't. A breast pump seemed like a great idea as it would enable my partner to help out with feeds. The pump comes with a small bottle which holds 5oz but will also fit larger 'closer to nature' bottles that hold more. The instructions state that it comes apart in to 3 pieces but I don't feel that this would be enough to clean it effectively, however it does come apart in to 5 pieces which i feel is better but can be complicated to put back together, it is also dishwasher safe but its probably worth getting a basket to put it in as some of the parts are very small. Although it is very comfortable and fairly easy to use it wouldn't be suitable for long term use, its great to use every now and then but wrist ache soon sets in. Once you have pumped the milk you need it comes with a handy lid for safe storage either in the fridge or freezer. It also comes with a plastic storage box which is suitable for microwave sterilising and is good for storing the pump in when not being used.

Summary: Good value for money & enables other people to feed baby.
