Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Medium Flow Teat

At the moment my daughter is mixed fed, which means that I both breastfeed her and supplement her with the odd bottle of formula here and there. So far it seems to be working well for us, but it has meant that we have had to invest in some decent bottles and I wanted to make sure that I selected bottles that where aimed at switching back and forth between breast and teat. Tommee Tippee claim that their closer to nature range was exactly what I was looking for and that their range of teats should make the transition back and forth from teat to breast a little easier for my baby - or at least that was the theory.

All of the Tommee Tippee bottles come with a size one teat, which is suitable from birth onwards. But after my daughter reached around the four month mark I found that she started deforming the teat trying to get milk faster, and started sucking in extra air in her attempts to get the milk from the bottle to her tummy in as short a time frame as possible. So I decided it was past time that I should move her onto the next size of teat - size two, the medium flow teat. The Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Medium Flow Teat looks exactly the same as the size one teat with the small exception that the hole is slightly bigger allowing for more milk to pass through it. As I mentioned the medium teat as with all the Tommee Tippee teats are also very soft and flexible and have been designed to compliment and mimic breastfeeding (to a degree) and so far we have had no problem switching back and forth between the breast and bottle. The teats are really soft yet retain their shape well and overall I don't think I would change from using the Tommee Tippee range now or in the future.

The teats are really easy to keep clean and maintain. If you do want to try the teats for your baby you can pick them up from most supermarkets, Mothercare, Amazon, ect, for under £5 for a packet of two. Personally, I like to stock up when I find them on special as in my experience it is always better to have a few extra than just enough or too little.

The Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Medium Flow Teats as with all the Tommee Tippee teats do have an anti colic valve, but my little one hasn't had too much of a problem with colic so I really can't comment. But I can say that we have never seemed to have a problem with her getting any excessive trapped wind when using any of the Tommee Tippee range of teats.

From me and my little one the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Medium Flow Teats get the full five out of five star rating. Personally I would recommend the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Medium Flow Teats, and I certainly would recommend the whole Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature range in general. I doubt I will stray from the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Medium Flow Teats until my baby is ready for the next size up again, which should be soon - it's amazing how quickly time goes by.

The Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Medium Flow Teats are recommended from 3 months onwards.
