Advantages: Very absorbant
Disadvantages: Naff staying power & expensive
I love Tommee Tippee products so buying these pads seemed an easy decision. It followed suit with all my other feeding products.
**Packaging
The breast pads came in a box which is distinctively Tommee Tippee.
They are in a box about 20cm x 20cm and the box claims "Ultra-absorbent disposable pads, moisture-trapping layer featuring silky-soft, breathable lining for comfort and convenience. Individually wrapped for easy hygienic carrying, specially designed for nursing mothers.50 Thin and discreet, sticky pads keep in placeUltra-absorbent and economical Soft lining to avoid chafing"
On opening the box the pads are wrapped individually which at the time I thought was very good and hygienic but little did I know...
**Usage
Once using these pads the individually packaging became annoying as with normally only one hand I would have to unwrap and place and then created more rubbish.
These have a glue blob on the back which attempts to keep the pad in place, but I found the pads were forever moving around even with the glue. You must wear a bra at all times otherwise the pads don't stay in place very well.
They are very absorbent but I still felt I needed to change my pads on average 5-6 times a day. When I first started to use the pads I found them very uncomfortable and rubbed my nipples but once I wasn't so sore and got used to them they were ok.
**Cost
Boots - £4.09 for 50
Tesco - £3.97 for 50
**My Opinion
I found the glue and staying power to be poor and often found the pad to of moved around in my bra but did think they wear very absorbent and did the job.
I was a little disappointed with the standard of Tommee Tippee breast pads as I think most of there stuff is a product leader but found that Mother care own breast pads were just as good and a fraction of the price at £1.99 for 100.
I would not recommend these pads sorry. I would say get Mother care's own.
