I bought these food pots a couple of months ago in anticipation for starting the process of weaning. I must confess last time I weaned a baby was my (now three year old) and I was slightly obsessed with buying the organic baby food pouches, which is a more expensive way of doing things. This time around I felt more confident in my cooking ability and wanted to try a more economical approach.

This time around with baby number 2 I thought I would wait as long as possible to start the weaning, but she seemed hungry even after having a full milk feed and when I took her to the Health Visitors to get her weighed, she was 19.5 1b. She is tall and heavy for her age, about the size of a 7 month old baby (when she was 4 months), so the Health Visitor suggested weaning her as she didn't feel that milk alone was enough for her, taking into account her weight and size.

So I had a look in the baby aisle when I went shopping and found these food storage containers, they were about £2 for 3 pots. I have got 2 packs of these now, one green set and one pink set. The Tommee Tippee brand is a well known brand and I have their Closer to Nature bottles and steriliser and a few other things so felt confident that these would be a good buy.

They are made from plastic with removable lids. They are suitable for use in the dishwasher, freezer and microwave. At the moment my daughter is 5 months and I am finding a good size for little meals to take out with us, I simply take the food out of the fridge in the morning and when she is ready for it I can heat it up in a bowl of boiling water until the temperature is right. I also use them for my other daughters lunch bag (as snack pots for cucumber, tomatoes and cubes of cheese etc). They still look in great condition even though they have been used alot.

They are very useful storage pots which I would recommend.

Thanks for reading.
