Advantages: The spoons are good quality and last well.

Disadvantages: Expensive for a spoon

When my first child started eating solid food we went out and bought all the bowls and spoons and different gadgets that are deemed essentials in the baby magazines and to be honest I wasted loads of money on useless stuff including these spoons.

These spoons are well made and have lasted for all three of my children. They are quite sturdy and not flimsy but have a soft feel to them which is kinder to babies gums. The bowl of the spoon is quite small and so cannot hold much food which is great for first tastes but no good for greedy toddlers.

The idea is that the spoon is usually red in colour and when placed into anything that is over the correct temperature for your baby they turn yellow to alert you. This is great in theory but these spoons in my opinion are far too sensitive. They turn yellow even in food that is fine to give to your baby.

After a while I just ignored the colour of the spoon and tested my daugters food on my top lip. If you put the food to your top lip and cannot feel that it is hot or cold then it is ok to give to your baby no expense necessary!

It does annoy me that companies seem to cash in on anxious parents insecurities and inexperience with useless costly products.
