Advantages: They are quite cheap and come in a wide range of colours

Disadvantages: Far too small, more of a gimmick than actually useful

These sound great, however they are actually pretty rubbish. The spoon at the end is so small you can barely get anything on it - and I found it too small weaning a just-4-month-old so anyone with a bigger baby, I have no idea how they would be any use.

They come in a wide range of primary colour combinations and are readily available from Boots, Asda, Mothercare and Tommee Tippee outlets, to name just a few stockists. they come in packs of 3 or 4 spoons.

My son really did not like having this spoon in his mouth although I don't know why, yet when I grabbed my free Hipp baby plastic spoon he loved it!

So we certainly would not recommend these spoons, when you see them in real life the spoon is barely wider than the handle and they have no real depth to speak of either. It would take forever to feed a meal from one.

As for the heat sensor bit, it is more of a gimmick in my opinion, especially since I would definately not trust an inexpensive plastic spoon to gauge whether I could feed my son something from the oven or microwave - it would be too much of a risk, I would need to check the temperature on my wrist or by tasting a bit from the middle to make sure it was not too hot, so the spoons would be obsolete either way. A good idea in theory but pointless in practice.

Summary: Don't bother!
