Tommee Tippee Roll 'n' Go Bib
Advantages: Roll up for easy travel
Disadvantages: Scoop flattens over time, gap between neck and bib
I mentioned in a previous review how my sister had been doing a bit of a clearout recently of the bibs she used with her children and passed them on to me. I am very loyal to my bibetta bibs and since they work so well and my daughter likes them, to be honest, I wasn't really interested in trying much else. However, in my changing bag I always keep a cheap Ikea bib but unfortunately it doesn't have a scoop so when my sister gave me some of the old bibs, and there was couple with scoops I thought one of these would replace the cheap Ikea one.
One of the Tommee Tippee bibs was useless, whereas this Roll 'n go bib was much much better. These bibs can be bought in a variety of colours and at a variety of prices, and can be picked up in many of the supermarkets. Unlike the other TOmmee Tippee bib I tried, this bib is soft in texture so shouldn't be uncomfortable around baby's neck and baby can move more freely with it. I did struggle however to get this fastened quickly on my daughter's neck which is kind of a must, given that usually when I am putting the bib on she is getting very very hungry, so that was a slight negative and even after several attempts, I still find this fiddly to secure.
There are some great features of this bib, one of which is the fact that it is travel friendly. You can simply roll the bib up and secure it with the neck fasteners and then pop it in your changing bag when you are out and about hence the name Roll 'n go bib!
Another feature of this bib is the fact that it can simply be wiped clean, however, I have noticed after eating tomato based food, this is slightly harder to simply wipe clean.
There are however some features that could, in my view, be improved. Due to the fact that it can be rolled up for travel purposes, this does have a detrimental effect on the scoop part, which has flattened somewhat as my sister has rolled it up. A flattened scoop doesn't catch as much food, which means that my Ikea bibs are just as good.
The other disadvantage is that I think there is too big of a gap between baby's neck and the bib, meaning that food can still escape down the front, rather than falling into the scoop. This is so unlike my Bibetta bibs which fit my daughter's neck so well, without choking her!
All in all, this is a good bib for travel, and is soft and light in texture, however there are some flaws suc has neck fit and effect on scoop when it has been rolled over time. I'm glad I didn't buy this myself, and it has replaced my Ikea bib, but they certainly can't compete against my Bibetta bibs.
Summary: A good bib for travel but some flaws
