Advantages: Cheap adn easy for baby to drink out of
Disadvantages: A tiny bit fiddly to clean the lid
Attention all mums and dads - this is the only cup you need to start off with.
When my little boy was getting ready for juice and water I decided to buy this cup. What a lucky decision that was as it's been a really good buy and he is now 9 months and loves it.
They are widely available in supermarkets and baby shops. I got mine in Morrisons for about 89p. He has an orange cup for water and blue cup for milk.
They have a hard flip lid with two holes on the top. This is a free flow cup so makes drinking easier. These are the cups that dentists and speech therpists like. Dentists becasue they are friendly to teeth and speech therpsits because they promote the muscles needed for speech. The flip lid enables you to take them out with you and not have spills in the bag. We've never had any problems with leaks.
On the side there are markers to tell you how much is in the cup and gives you a guide for juice dilution.
The cup is easy to clean but it can be a bit harder to clean around the flip up lid. I just pop it in the dishwasher every so often for a really good clean.
I can't imagine I'll buy another beaker.
Summary: A great first cup
