Advantages: Cheap, good looking, lightweight

Disadvantages: don't last, not anti spill!

I brought one of these cups for my daughter when I wanted to start getting her off of her bottles. It seemed a cheap alternative to some of the other cups and beakers on the market and I thought if it didn't work out it didnt really matter!

Tommee Tippee is a leading brand in childrens feeding products. Their products are widely avaliable and are very reasonably priced.

This particular cup cost a mear £1.50 or around that price depending on the shop, it is avaliable in a wide range of colours and is very very avaliable and you can find one in almost any store which sells baby products.

The cup is very basic in design and mechanism. It comes in a see through plastic material which has a measuring scale on the side so you can see how much your baby has drunk. It has two handles so baby can easily grab on and hold the cup, an air tight lid with a spout which can be put down to make the cup anti spill.

Considering this cup was so reasonably priced I cannot really complain but unfortunately they do not last long. My baby does not use the cup daily as she tends to still prefer her bottle and at first it took a lot of persuading to get her to drink out of it. I think it sat in the drawer for about a month before she drank out of it. This was when she was about 10 months so although the cup says from 4 months I think this may be a little early for baby as it takes a while for them to get used to these sorts of things. After a while either the lid or the cup because mishapen as the lid no longer tight sealed as it should have done, this caused no end of trouble as I would put it in her bag ad suddenly I would have a wet leg where I thought it was shut but it had popped open.

The cup states it is spill proof and 'tip it up' but I think this is mis leading also as it is only spill proof if the teat is down and not up, if the teat is up which it has to be to drink out of it is like any other cup and pours out.

The cup is very lightweight and when new they are strong, I have been through three of these though in 2 months and I refuse to buy any more as the lids just end up popping off and the liquid spilling out. It is a shame because they are so cheap ad my daughter will actually only drink out of these cups.

I love the bright colours that they come in, we have 1 orange and two pinks and they make her look really trendy, you can get them in boys colours too.

I think the idea of tehse cups is great, a good improvement would be to make sure the plastic is stronger and less 'bendable' and that the teat is anti spill whatever.

I would recommend these, however be prepared to have to replace them quickly, not too much of a problem because of the price but it does get a bit tedious!!

Summary: I love them, shame they don't last!!
