==Tommee Tippee Weaning and Feeding Spoons==
The Tommee Tippee feeding spoon is available in a whole ton of different stores and I purchased ours from my local boots when Jack was around the 6 month age mark. They are recommended from 4 months plus and are designed especially for children to hold and begin to try and feed themselves.
They come in a few different colours including blue and green and pink and orange. They are sold in packs of 3 for around the £4 price tag region. Tommee Tippee also do a heat sensor spoon which has the same look but will change colour if the food on the spoon is too hot. We didn't get along very well with the heat spoons and for the extra money they really weren't worth buying so we stuck to using these regular feeding spoons.
The spoons are made of a softish plastic type of material which is BPA free and the spoons themselves are suitable for putting into a steriliser which is still recommended for children under a year old. The handles of the spoons are slightly shaped and this is said to be a better shape for small hands to grip onto with relate ease.
The spoons are ideal to use for all types of mushy baby food from yoghurt's to puréed vegetables and even the lumpier types of shepherds pie and the like. I always used to give Jack one spoon to hold and would feed him with another myself. The softer plastic head of the spoon meant that if he scraped his gums on it there wouldn't be any real cause for concern like there would be with metal cutlery.
I have to say that these spoons have really stood the test of time because even now with Jack being 5 we still use the spoons with him for eating his yoghurt's sometimes and they will certainly be good enough for the next baby too use when he is old enough. When I first bought these spoons I did think there were a little bit expensive for what they were but seeing as they have lasted so well they have certainly got their monies worth out of them.
I have nothing negative to say about these spoons and for that reason I feel that a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a very high recommendation is well deserved.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
Summary: a great spoon
