Rather than buying new monitors, my friend lent me these to use for our baby. We put our baby in his own room from 4 weeks so it was important to us that we had good monitors so that we could hear him throughout the night. The first thing that impressed me with these monitors is that they are so sensitive you can hear your child breathing, this really set my mind at ease when I woke through the night and also saved my legs as I didn't have to keep getting up to go in his nursery, which no doubt I would have if I couldn't hear him breathing on the monitor!! There are two monitors, a baby unit and the parent unit, you can have batteries in them so ...

Baby Walkabout Advance from Tomy Living in a flat I felt I did not really need the most high tech and expensive of monitors and just needed one that really did the job. I was looking at all the ones available to buy on Amazon and this one sprang out at me. It was not the cheapest monitor going but it certainly was not the most expensive either. Monitors range from about £15 up to an astonishing £100 plus. The latest ones out on the market offer a television screen where you are actually able to see your baby as well as hear their sounds and monitor room temperature.
