Advantages: Easy to put on and take off and simple to clean, no messing about.

Disadvantages: Wont protect you.

Having had 2 children already I know that 3rd time round I had to try to do something to protect the baby clothes. Money was tighter and I wouldnt afford to keep throwing things away because they were marked.
I also found that material bibs get marked and that is fine if you are just at home feeding the little one with no- one there to look at your baby but when you go out to a restaurant or your mother in law comes to visit the last thing you want to be worrying about is being judged on how clean your babies clothes and bib are. That is why I decided to look for an alternative this time.

On a visit to the local toys r us I found these catch-all bibs. They came in a variety of colours, orange, pink, blue and green and were £1.99 each. They were made of plastic and you could just wipe them clean. The neck had 4 different sizes that it could fit via a plastic hook that fitted into one of the holes. The catch-all part at the bottom was wide enough to catch falling food and spilt juice or milk but did not get in the way of the baby trying to feed themselves or play with the food.

To begin with I just bought one but then bought another as a spare and one to keep at Granmas. i havde also purchased one recently for a friend as I think they are marvellous. The only problem is that they dont protect you from the flying food.

Summary: A good way to save on the washing.
