Advantages: Super-moisture, Fragrance-free
Disadvantages: Taste a bit strange, kinda expensive
I've been dying to try Kiehl'l products since I was still in my country. But Kiehl's products are quiet difficult to find in there, so I have to wait until I came to England for my study. You can imagine how happy I am when I found Kiehl's counter in Harrods! When I got to England, this place was really cold for me. Everything on me become dry. My hair, my face, also my skin. The worst is that my lips also chopped and sometimes bleed a little. Thats why from all Kiehl's products that I've read on fashion magazine, their Lip Balm #1 is the first one on my priority list. As I expected, it works really well. The lipbalm appearance is almost looks the same as other petrolatum lipbalm. But the special thing about this one is its contains Squalane, one treasure that comes from the wonders of the sea. Its contains all the goodies that I need to make my lips back to "normal" such as almond oil, cottonseed oil, vegetable oil, wheat germ oil, castor oil...etc *tired typing*...hehehe Another good thing about this lipbalm is, when you use it before lipstick, it will gives a nice shine to your lips (but not too much!) even when you use it alone, it will make you lips looks soft and healthy. The packaging? well as all of kiehl's products, it looks so vintage circa 1800. Of course its because of Kiehl's company was established in 1851. As an American old pharmacy, Kiehl's still represents the same spirit of that era, which is good for the people who got tired with the modern-luxury products. Kiehl's lipbalm #1 came in 2 size. One is in a little jar (0.7oz) and another one is on a tube (0.5oz)....the price? yes, a little expensive compare to other petrolatum lipbalms but very reasonable compares to designer brands lipbalms, especially with the lovely result that you gonna get from it. For the jar is about GBP 6 and for tube size is about GBP 5.50. If you need a lipbalm in your t
able at home or at work, then get the jar because you can get more with little price difference, but to take around, I prefer the tube one, especially I like to carry my lipbalm in my pocket. The down side? well, honestly, it taste a bit strange when the first time you use it. Its a bit "over the sea" taste. But once you get use to it, its not a problem at all, especially, it only for a few seconds. Thats probably because of the Squalane and also its fragrance-free. Where can you buy it? as I mentioned earlier, you can find it in Harrods, or if you make a trip to Liberty, they have a quiet plenty selections of Kiehl's products. SpaceNK also carry Kiehl's brand in their shops....I also found a cute little Kiehl's specialty shop in covent garden that worth to stop by when shop around there. Cant go to those places? I just found out that you can ring Liberty, have you credit card ready and ask the operator to transfer you to Kiehl's counter, they can take your order and send it to your door. Another option is you can ask for SpaceNK catalogue thru their website and you can order quiet nice selections of Kiehl's from there.
