Asda Kitchen Roll
Disadvantages: No good to soak up big spillages
I buy this kitchen roll most weeks, or whenever I do my food shopping in Asda. I think kitchen roll is such an expensive item to buy! Even this Asda smart price kitchen towel is around £1.15 for just two rolls, and we always go through at least four in a week in our house!
This kitchen towel comes in the really basic Asda smart price packaging just clear, and green just like the picture, so you can see the product inside. The rolls inside are just white, and they do feel very thin, however they are perfect enough for what I use them for, wiping things up in the kitchen, wiping hands etc.
They are great for general use, they don't tend to rip easily, but aren't that thick. These kitchen towels only let me down when you spill a drink etc, it does not soak up the liquid well at all! You need near enough the hole roll to clear up any spillages like that! They are just not absorbent enough at all, and wouldn't be any good if you have kids!
There isn't much kitchen towel on the rolls either, they get used up so quickly which is a shame. You need to use so much of the towels when you do use them, a family could easily get through one of these a day! Although they have started doing a jumbo size roll, you get three in a pack for £1.70, and these are a lot better value for your money. They really do last a lot longer, and the three last all week for £1.70 where as we were buying and using up 4 normal ones for £2.30 all together, so it is better to buy the jumbo ones, you do get a lot more for your money.
I would say there's probably nearly double on a jumbo roll that a normal one. They are no difference in quality though. These towels are soft but not too soft, they aren't rough, they are a nice texture.
Overall, I always buy smart price over leading brands, they are so much cheaper and the quality isn't that bad for the price!
Summary: Alright if your on a budget
