We bought this measuring jug when we first moved into our own house, we bought it from Asda and it currently sells at 35p although i'm pretty sure it was 28p when we bought it a few years ago.

The jug is made from clear plastic although it isn't quite so clear now as over time it has clouded a little, the plastic is pretty durable and I used to use it to heat my daughters bottles when she was a baby so using boiling hot water in it and it served the purpose perfectly. As with all jugs that I know of it has a handle to made using it easier and it has a spout for pouring which pours liquids accurately.

There are measurements on both sides of the jug and the measurements cover millilitres, fluid ounces and pints which makes it useful for conversions too, the jug when full holds 500mls of fluid which is enough for my needs. The measurements are on the jug with raised numbers and lines which means they can be quite difficult to see but I tend to find if I bend a little so that the jug is at eye level it isn't too much of a issue.

I tend to use the jug for mixing liquids that need a certain measure of liquid such as gravy or angel delight, I also use it for when I am mixxing up curry and chilli powders and have found that it does discolour although the discolouration has never lasted and has always cleared after a couple of washes.

This jug is brilliant and I wouldn't pay any more for a jug as the only drawback with this jug is the markings but I don't feel it is worth paying loads more to have better markings.
