“ Brand: Disney „
My daughter is a typical 3 year old girl and believes she is princess of the land. She loves her usual peppa pig, dora and the likes but anything with a picture of a princess/barbie on it she just has to have it. I don't actually know where she got this tumbler from, it was one of those items after a day out with her aunt, this tumbler was one of the products she came home with and no doubt guilt tripped her aunt into buying it for her!
The cup is a nice pink girly colour, with a picture of Cinderella on the front. This makes it very girly and appealing to little diva princesses and so it is well designed. The cup is a cylindrical shape with a lid which is a darker pink. Attached to the side of the cup is a strap which can go across the child or over the shoulder. The strap is a good length, but for my 3 year old it is a bit long, and she is not quite competent to carry the cup in this way (she is prone to dropping EVERYTHING!) so I have been tempted to cut the strap off to be honest!
The main downside to this cup is the "spout" so to speak from which to drink out of. To open the lid there is a button at the back of the lid which then causes the cap to flip open, and there is a small straw type feature from which to sip the drink out of. Personally, I find this quite stiff so takes a lot of pressure to press on the button to open it, but for my 3 year old it is even more difficult for her to open unaided and I always have to do it for her. I would have hoped for her independence she could do it alone, but it is actually quite tricky.
Drinking from the cup my daughter can do this easily, and whilst it does not have a spill-proof feature, it has not really leaked in anyway unless tipped upside down or if the lid is not on securely and it lays on the side. We have taken it out to the park and places and it has been a really fun cup that she likes using and *touch wood* it has not spilt in the bag as of yet!
It is easily washable, although I do not have a dishwasher so cannot comment on it's compatibility in that respect. Washing is easy, and we have had this a good few months and the lid inside is still relatively easy to clean even with the straw type feature that does not come apart. It has withheld it's quality and has no scratches or marks so is quite durable.
Overall my daughter quite likes this cup and she pretty much loves drinking out of it it at meals times mainly because it has a princess on the front! It can be purchased from Matalan for £2 which is reasonably cheap and cheerful for a good quality cup that little girls will love. I would recommend this cup and will only knock off 1 star for the dodgy button to flip the lid open!
When we visited Disneyland I was looking for something convenient to put juice in for my children, as one of the tips we received was that juice could be very expensive. While shopping in Matalan I came across these Disney juice bottle and decided they would be perfect for us to take along with us. At £2 each they were very reasonable for a Disney related product and so I picked three of them up.
The cups all come in different Disney designs and look very attractive. We have the Cars version and the Disney princess. They are all very detailed with pictures of Rapunzel, Belle and Cinderella so a choice of princess for your child to enjoy. They are bright in colour and all very attractive for a young child. The cup is a good size. We found it was perfect to last a morning walking round the Disneyland parks, and since returning my son has used his to take juice to school. It is big enough for him to use with his pack lunch and he often still has a quarter of the cup left when he returns from school. The juice stays surprisingly cold inside of the cup so even sitting in a bag for a while.
I did expect this to be more of a sport style cup. With a nozzle for the juice to be dispensed from I expected it would need to be tipped up to release the liquid. Actually it works as a straw which was perfect for my younger children, and it meant less chance of spillages while out and about. This also means if it does manage to become open and tipped on its side it still does not leak. Of course it is not invincible and if you tip it upside down it will leak, but it just makes it a little more spill proof.
My one downside is the button that releases the cap of the drinking bottle. It has a full protective lid that clips over the straw of the bottle to both keep it clean, and to stop it from leaking. It is great they thought of a way to stop the juice from tipping out , but it is just a little stiff at times. There is a small button to push in which releases the cap with a satisfying click. This is even a little stiff for me to do so my children found it impossible. It needs to be pushed right in, and although it has loosened with constant use it can still be stiff at times. My son is now able to do it independently, but it has taken a lot of persistence and practice.
It has a large strap that is perfect for your child to be able to place it around there shoulder and carry it along with their school bag. This can also be removed very easily if it is not needed, but this made it perfect for carrying around the parks with us. The cup is very easy to clean and the screw top lid provides easy access to the wide neck of the bottle to add the juice. It is a quick and convenient way of making up a drink for days out for pack lunches. The drinks cups still look as good as knew without any scratches or marks to the bottle. They have been dropped a number of times and are still in great condition.
I would highly recommend this drinking cup. It looks pretty so my daughter loved it while it is still practical for outings or using for school. It holds a fair amount of juice, and we find it enough if we are going for a picnic. It does keep drinks fresh enough to last a few hours even stored in a bag which I was surprised about and it has saved us a lot of money in the long run with cartons and such. At £2 I was a little worried just how well it would last, but so far it is in perfect condition without any scratches or markings.
