Advantages: Fun for everyone to use
Disadvantages: no snout
We have had our Kitchen Craft Dolphin Sandwich Cutter now for about three months and we bought it quite cheaply from Amazon (no postage to be paid either, so all good there). We paid £2.50 for them and theycame very well packaged and arrived very quuickly. We bought it for our little lad as he can be a bit of a fussy eater and he won't eat his crsusts on his sandwiches, no matter how hard me and his mum try to persuade him - he says he doesn't want 'curly hair' so he shouldn't have to eat the crusts!
The Kitchen Craft Dolphin Sandwich Cutter is made from solid durable and hardwearing firm plastic. It is blue in colour and has no sharp edges at all so the little lad can happily make his own sandwiches himself very easily without any fear of him cutting or harming himself.
We make all sorts of sandwiches with this brilliant little cutter which measures around ten or eleven square centimetres - I have not actually taken a tape measure to it but this is just a rough estimate. We find it works better on cheaper loaves (and the tinly sliced ones are the best). It cuts cleanly through the bread and gives a great outline of the dolphins. The only thing we noticed however, is that it is not very detailed, i.e. there is no snout on the dolphin, but there is the basic shape.
We use this also to make dolphin toast, dolphin shaped biscuits and scones and all sorts of lfavoured sandwiches. It is really great fun to use at birthday parties and kiddies love to eat them and we find the andwiches always seem to disappear faster if they are dolphin shaped for some reason!
They are three dimensional, good strong cutters. They wash simply and easily in warm soapy water or alternatively you can pop them into the dishwasher if you prefer. They also come with a twelve month gurantee and we all recommend them.
