      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A good purchase for anyone who often makes poached eggs

This is great for poaching eggs and the outcome is good looking tasty poached eggs.
I find poaching eggs tricky as the whites seem to go everywhere with me- however when using this that is not an issue- the eggs are each in their own little containers and keep their shape.
It is easy to use- very straight forward, however my only negative is that due to the individual cups for the eggs- it takes longer and is more tricky to wash up after- however this is a very picky negative that most people especially those with a dish washer won't class as a negative. I found this great to use in the mornings when I started dieting as poached eggs are very healthy and are great for breakfast! This made it so easy to make this healthy breakfast quickly and efficiently!
In general, I was very pleased when I purchased this and would recommend this to anyone who likes poached eggs- it makes them perfect every time!

      Great product

I purchased the Lakeland egg poaching pan after hearing a recommendation on the internet. I remember my Nan having an egg poacher like this when I was a child and having a child who adores eggs this was a must have for our house.

This poaching insert sits inside the non-stick frying pan suspended over hot water. You can do a maximum of four eggs at a time but it still works brilliantly for one or two eggs as well. If I am doing one or two eggs I still pop the other cups in the hold, not sure why but i think it stops the steam coming up and dropping back on the cooking eggs.

The box says its suitable for all hobs (except induction). The pan is 20cm diameter and comes with a glass lid which means you do not have to keep lifting it off to see if the eggs are done. The glass lid is heavy so keeps the pan at the right temperature to cook the tastiest eggs.

Each poaching cup is also non-stick which means you have no problem getting the eggs out. I grease mine slightly with a bit of butter and the eggs just come away when tipped over onto the plate.

The one thing I would say when you try your egg poacher is be prepared at it cooks them so fast, we put the toast on first because it cooks them in record time.

We paid £24.99 for our egg poacher from Lakeland and I must say I did think twice at replacing my old one found at the car boot sale for 50p but this pan is so much better than my old one, now I have no excuses when the kids want poached eggs, my old pan was slow and a nightmare to clean.

This one cleans up really easily and I would deffinatly recommend this pan for any egg lovers. Poached eggs on hot buttered toast, pure bliss.
