I don't have kids, but being a big kid inside I saw this and just had to have it, and realised I would need to explain such an obscure purchase to my hubby later! It was at this point I realised not only kids get an odd thrill from their sandwiches looking like dinosaurs. Despite being 26, I've never seen him so gleeful about a sandwich!

The cutter is solid and well made, entirely of plastic so there are no worries about children using it and injuring themselves. It is also very well designed, I've tried this on a few different brands of bread and it goes to the edges, with an absolute minimum of waste.

It's not just good for sandwiches either, you can use this for cookies, or as I've taken to doing - making dinosaur shaped eggy bread (call me childlike, but I quite enjoy sticking my eggy bread in a baked bean pond and reacreating the land that time forgot!). I've even used it to make two little cheesecakes one night. After you're done cooking and playing, it sticks in the dishwasher and is as good as new.

The cutter is only £1.99 from Lakeland, which for a sturdy item, even one with a bit of novelty value, is a great price. I would love to see some more designs in the range (if they bring out a penguin one I might never eat normal shaped food again!) but I really can't think of a negative thing to say about this cutter.
