Maxwell & Williams White Basics 2 Divide Dish
Luckily for me my mum went through a phase of buying me some kitchenware for my house, including a lot of random things that I would never normally buy myself! I received two of these two divide serving dishes as a gift.

White Basics 2 Divide Dish
Maxwell & Williams white basics range is pretty much what it sounds like, everything is white with smooth lines and edges. The 2 divide dish is rectangular in shape and has dimensions of 12 cm length, 7 cm width and a depth of around 1 cm, so quite a shallow dish that limits what you can put in it somewhat!
The dish is made of fine quality vitreous porcelain that is quite chunky so that it feels like it could take a knock or two without chipping or cracking and six months in and mine still look brand new. As stated this is a two divide dish and is intended as a sauce dish, though with the depth you are limited to what sauces you can put in it without spilling everything.
I have used this for balsamic and olive oil on occasions and it is great, keeps the sauces separated for those who don't like one or the other. However I had to top it up three or four times as a couple of dunks of bread and it was all gone! These would be better used for sauces that are thick and with pasty consistencies perhaps.
These are extremely easy to clean as the sauce just glides off the glossy porcelain, they are also Fridge, Oven-Microwave and dishwasher safe.
All in all these are really nice, clean looking sauce dishes which are nice and fancy to have out at a party, but really I see them as space wasters and not really deep/big enough for my liking. If you're into haute cuisine then these are for you!
Summary: An average 'white basics' 2 divide dish from Maxwell and Williams - 2 stars
