      Disadvantages

Very useful when wanting to freeze meals for two.

I bought these at the same time I bought a pack of small foil trays as I thought it would be useful to have larger frozen meals readily available when I need to cook for my girlfriend too. For £1 you get 8 of these medium sized foil trays.

The trays come in stacked one inside another and are wrapped in a polythene wrapper with a small simple label on the top. Each tray measures 20cm x 10.5cm x 6cm, is made out of foil and has a cardboard lid to keep food covered.

The trays are a good size which I have found makes putting food into them very easy. So far I have only used them to store lasagne meals. I found that the trays are the right width and length to fit a lasagne sheet in with ease. This is a great advantage as it saves cutting them down. Each tray is deep enough to make a nice thick lasagne with plenty of meat and sauce in. This means that 1 tray will be enough to feed two people with ease.

I froze my lasagne before cooking it in the oven as this will mean that when I do defrost and cook them, the resulting meal will be a freshly cooked lasagne rather than a reheated meal. I have only cooked one of these meals so far from frozen and I have found that this works very well to create a delicious meal. When using these trays in the oven, you have to remove the lid before cooking. As they are made from foil, you cannot use these in a microwave, however it is easy enough to get all the contents of the tray out and onto a plate.

As I have university exams coming up soon, these trays are going to prove a real help to me as it means that I can prepare many meals in advance and then cook them quickly when needed with little preparation needed. I am going to give these 5/5 as they have so far worked very well and I will be able to use them to freeze many different meals in.

      Thanks for reading.
