      A fantastic dish brush from the OXO Good Grips range.

      === The product ===

      This is a dish brush. The handle is designed to be simple to grip and it is advertised as being a 'no leak, no mess soap dispensing' product. The heads can be removed, discarded and changed so this is a product that has a long shelf life rather than just being disposable like some cheaper ones I have seen before.

      === How to use this ===

      Firstly when you purchase this you will find that this is provided in two parts. You will receive the handle, which is a black rubber coated handle with little grip marks indented in to it. This has a large clear plastic self contained piece on the end. There is a white plastic clip on the end of this that you slot the refill head on to and there is a rubber black 'plug' in this clear container that you open to fill up the washing up liquid in. The plug is very simple to open, you just pour in your washing up liquid and then close this back up. The plug is airtight and does not let any of the washing up liquid leak back out. This probably holds at least 100ml of washing up liquid and I find this very simple to fill up.

      The second part of this is the head itself. This is a white plastic head with lots of thick white bristles. This is very simple to clip in to place, it goes along a two piece 'track' and then clicks in to place. Once you are ready to remove this there is a small white tab that you just press down and this then allows the head to be taken back off. This is very simple to use and takes just a few seconds to remove and replace.

      === Does this work well? ===

      Yes. When I want to use this it is very simple. I just pick up the brush and then where the black plug goes there is a small bubble that can be pressed in. Once this is pressed it will then cause a small amount of washing up liquid to be released through the bottom of the container and out on to the dish brushing head. This is very simple to use and then you just need to proceed with cleaning your dishes.

      I mainly use mine for cleaning simple items such as plates and cutlery. I find that the bristles work well at removing dirt but this is partly aided by the fact that I soak my washing up before using a dish brush or sponge and then rinsing clean to ensure a perfect clean finish. I find that this is fine at cleaning items that have been pre-soaked, and even plates that haven't. The bristles cause a small amount of lather, smaller than when using the same product with a sponge, but this is ample to ensure that dirt and debris is removed from plates before I finish by rinsing them.

      === Where can I buy this & for how much? ===

      This can be purchased from Oxo Good Grips stockists and mine was purchased from Amazon.co.uk for £6.00. This is still the current price in October 2011 and is one that I feel is quite reasonable. You can purchase refills for £3.50 from Amazon.co.uk also.

      === Overall opinion ===

      I am pleased with this brush. It is simple to use and works well at cleaning plates. The heads are simple to change and it takes just a few seconds. This is obviously more expensive than some of the other brushes available but I feel that these bristles are more sturdy and the heads are very long lasting. I probably only have to change my head every month or two but I am not using this constantly and usually just change it when it first starts to look a little worn. I am sure that I could get another couple of months use out of this if I was not concerned about the look of this.

      This brush does not slip out of my hand, even when wet and overall I am pleased with the quality of my purchase. This is a dish brush that is going to be long lasting, as it has been so far, and the price of £6.00 was one that I felt was quite reasonable.
