==Pyrex Measuring Jug==
For many years now I have had the same Pyrex jug in my kitchen cupboard and it is still going strong. It has been such a good jug to me that I have since gone out and bought a second one as when cooking I find that I will more often than not need more than the one.
There are a few different sizes of jugs to choose from but I always feel that the pint jug is the best all rounder and for the price of around £4 may seem a lot more expensive than the plastic jugs you can get but well worth it.
The Pyrex jugs are both dishwasher and microwave safe and won't really take the heat on and therefore makes removing the jug after having heated up food from the microwave perfectly safe as the handle doesn't get hot at all. They state that they are freezer safe though I wouldn't really put the jug in the freezer although will often store food items such as bakes beans in the fridge in the jug.
A good aspect of this jug compared to the plastic jugs you can get is that the glass that this Pyrex jug is made from won't take on the colourings of the food and stain like a plastic jug would do and so stays looking like new for a very good while. My older jug does look a little worn now as the glass has gone slightly cloudy with a few scratches that it has taken on and it does have a few chips to the rim but considering how many years I have had this it is only to be expected.
The Pyrex items including this jug always come with a 10 year guarantee if you should need it but because of the high quality of the item this is most probably not going to be needed but does just go to prove that Pyrex have a good deal of faith in their products.
Not only is the tough glass hard wearing and easy to cook items in but it is also pretty easy to clean and the only thing I do have a little bit of trouble getting off it baked in scrambled egg that I have done in the microwave but after a soak in warm water this takes little more than a light weight scourer to remove.
All in all I wouldn't be without my Pyrex jug and feel that it is well deserving of a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a high recommendation.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
