When it comes to the brand which is Sabitchi it is one, of late I have become rather familiar with. I have been buying a few pretty bits and pieces to display in my newly revamped kitchen and one thing I have and use often is a one tiered cake stand and really I simply just wanted to upgrade that one to something a bit bigger...hence ordering this one from the Kay & Co Catlaogue some time ago....google if interested or wait till Kay & Co restock them as they have none in stock at the moment though they were chargins £12.50 a cake stand!
Made from Porcelein this comes in pieces when it arrives to your home. You get two plates, one larger than the other which the larger of the two meant to be on the base of it and what you simply do is get the two centre 'stick' parts, put them through the plates and twist them together and then when you have done that and that is secure and tightened enough you are done. In the box mine came in there was a diagramn and instructions on how to do this and believe me it couldn't of been simpler to put together.
Once put together thats it, no need to take it apart again and what you get is two porcelein white plates in the main with pink, green, purple, blue and yellow pola dots on the outside of the plate creating a thick and pretty border. The sturdy and shiny, silver piece that holds it upright is really well made with a hoop for picking it up to the top of it and thats it really.
Once put together this is a really nice piece, plain and not too fancy so great for a multidude of occasions. It isn't unbreakable so you do have to be careful with it but it is handwash and dishwasher safe.
