Sabichi Floral Teapot, Milk and Sugar Set
Advantages: Lovely looking set, great size of pieces
Disadvantages: None that I am aware
Just recently my lovely landlord (yes you heard that right shockingly enough) surprised me I was having my whole kitchen done up. New floor, new cupboards and worktops, new sink and taps and new tiles! Nothing wrong with my old kitchen I thought, I rather liked it though between us (I got my boyfriend to redecorate it), it looks amazing! It spurred me on to get a brand new fridge freezer and dining table and a few 'posh' bits and pieces that I had my eye on for ages!
One thing I really did want was a new tea pot as mine was looking a bit shabby as I have used it so much. I spotted this cute set of teapot (1.1L), milk jug and sugar bowl from the Sabitchi brand in my Freemans catalogue costing £21.00 and as I had some commission owing to me I decided to treat myself to it and was delighted when it arrived and I opened it up!
Lets go through each of the items separately shall we!
Holds 1.l L of a brew of your choice, this is mainly white in colour and round in shape with the top being a little wider than the base and a large handle to one side of it which is sturdy. The lid has light green spots all over it and it fits into the teapot with ease as you slide it and it has two small pieces that go into two small holed areas so your brew doesn't go everywhere when using it. On both sides of the teapot you get a small pink and lovely flower design within a slightly silver metallic circle and that is that. It is a large size, beautifully finished with a nice sheen to it and easy enough to rinse clean.. The spout is old fashioned and curved and overall it is a really quaint but a usable teapot!
The Milk Jug:
Again this is a rather large in size milk jug still white in colour and with the same design on it as the teapot but with no lid, once again the handle is strong and wide enough to get most fingers and/or hands through. it has a small spout so when pouring it doesn't splatter milk everywhere and is very much in keeping style wise with the teapot.
The Sugar Bowl:
Once again matching the floral design with the rest of the pieces in this set this it is again round in shape, generous in size and this time it does have a round lid to the top of it, again white and light green spotted....this is. This piece has a handle to each side of it, once again clicks into place for security and I am impressed once again with the size of this!
On every piece (the base) we are told of course that it is by Sabitchi in black writing and being all Porcelain its a nice sturdy set though not unbreakable of course. I love the size of the set and although pretty doesn't scream 'I'm posh' and is a useful day to day set. The sizes are not given for each piece by the way but like I say I am all round impressed with this set and feel that for the price I paid for it and the amount I use it, it really is worth every single penny I paid!
