For our wedding last year, we were brought the Sagaform Oil and Vinegar Bottles. Sagaform is a Scandinavian company which designs delightful gifts for both indoor and outdoor use. There are two curved glass bottles with round oak stoppers which rest on the top. They are beautifully designed hand blown glass which is rounded at the bottom, narrows at the neck, and has a small lip for easy pouring on the rim. The oak stopper is a natural wood coloured ball which fits snugly on the top to protect the contents when not in use. The bottle is just under 7inches high, and with the stopper just under 8 inches high. The glass is quite sturdy and not too easily broken.
The bottles are easy to fill up as the necks are quite wide. To drizzle / pour the contents, you just remove the stopper are gently pour. They can be a bit messy when pouring - you need to make sure you tip the bottle back upright fairly quickly when you have finished pouring. They also start looking a bit sorry for themselves when they are nearly empty, and look so much nicer when they are about half full.
The bottles look attractive. We eat a lot of salad so have olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the side most of the time and it looks so much more attractive. They are nice enough to put on the table when entertaining guests.
They are very versatile, and can be used for any liquid. Flavoured oils would be look nice, with a chilli or a sprig of herbs in to add a touch of colour.
One tip - as the lid is not secure, keep them out the way of children or an area where they can be easily knocked over - oil goes a long way and can be difficult to clean up!
Overall, a great addition to any kitchen and perfect for any table. There are also matching wine carafes, large and small for the perfect matching table look.
I am giving 4 stars as they can be quite tricky to perfect the perfect pour with, and can result in oily fingers / bottles.
