A gadget that I find really fascinating

      ~I saw it and I wanted it~

This little gadget is not something I would think of to buy myself, but whilst on one of our many trips to the in laws I spotted this Salter in the kitchen, I was so fascinated by it that my mother-in-law instructed I took it home with me. With this I was delighted as I just couldn't put it down, I was amazed by it.

      ~It fascinates me~

This device is used for grinding salt, pepper or other herbs and spices. When it was given to me it was filled with salt and so that's what I continue to use it for, since salt is the main seasoning I use anyway it made sense to continue to use it for this. The Salter is stainless steel, with a transparent section, all the way around it which is situated close to the bottom so I can see what's inside, it stands about 20 or so cm high and has a decent weight to it. It seems sturdy enough and looks to be very well made. On the top of it is the button I press to operate it, when I press this button the salt begins to grind and the Salter lights up the food that I'm seasoning, because the Salter lights up in needs 2 AA batteries. My mother in law already had batteries in it when she gave it me, and I have been using it for a few months now, but I haven't needed to replace the batteries yet, so that's a good thing that the batteries are lasting well.

~I just like playing with it~

The Salter is very easy to use, I only need to use one hand to operate it, and it fascinates me the way the built in ceramic mechanism grinds the salt so well. There's no fear of my dinner getting covered in to much salt with this gadget, as I totally control how much salt comes out and there have been no accidents with overdosing in the salt department, even my son can operate this Salter easily. Another great thing about this Salter is the fact that when I'm not using it, I can twist the base and stop anything from falling out, so it stays nice and neat with no mess leaking out of it. I am really impressed with this gadget, and had never seen one before I saw it at my mother-in-laws. I've decided I now want one for pepper corns to complete the set.

      ~Other information~

Like I already mentioned I did not buy this Salter myself but they are available to buy from a variety of places, supermarkets etc. and Amazon also sell them they cost around £18.00 but I have since found out that Tesco are selling both salt and pepper grinders as a set for £25.00.

I would recommend this handy little device, it looks nice, it's neat and tidy, looks nice in the kitchen, batteries are lasting well so what more can I say. I'm giving this Salter 7502 5 stars because there's nothing at all not to like about it.

Thank you for reading my review which may also be posted on other sites.
