==Spotty Egg Timer==
I am terrible when it comes to buying accessories for my rooms and I generally go overboard on all the smaller detail trying to get the the right colour and when I saw this item in my local hard wear store I just couldn't help myself but buy it for my kitchen even though I really didn't' need an egg timer!
==Price and Availability==
So I haven't seen this timer anywhere else but in Hurst's where I bought it from but it seems that you can get it from a few different places if you search for it online and I am pleased to see that I didnt' pay over the odds for it. I bought mine for £3.99p and the prices online range from around this up to another couple of pounds to £5.99p and of course I didn't have to pay any postage and packaging prices which you will need to take into account when buying online.
==Look and Design==
The look and design of this product is really what initially appealed to me. My kitchen is white, red and black and this red egg timer is covered in an array of white spots which I knew would look perfect in my kitchen next to the stove. The design of the timer is very classic and is shaped like an egg. There were different colours that you could choose from but I was instantly drawn to the red colour.
The timer will go all the way up to 60 minutes which is a good time for most small cooking items and the main drawer of a timer like this is that no batteries are required and it is a wind up powered item. There are clearly visible black timer marking all the way around the middle of the timer and these show a number at every 5 minutes but with little dashes in between.
The timer itself is very simple to use and this is why when taking it from the box it came in there were no instructions and the timer is basic and simplicity itself. You do however need to wind the timer fully on before you can begin to use it as this is how the timer will begin and the ticking will start. Once you have twisted the top of the egg shape around from the bottom all the way to 60 you will then need to turn it back to the desired time I.e. 5 minutes.
The ticking of the timer is clearly heard and not as annoying as I first thought. The ticking will remind you that the timer is on and working and counting down to go off. Once the timer has ticked all the way down to the 0 the alarm will ring out and this is a pleasant and rather classic alarm bell sound which is loud and easy to hear from anywhere in the house.
The time has always kept well since I have had it and because of it not being battery operated there has never been a need to replace anything or worry about it running out of power. It works very well and I really have nothing negative I can say about it.
I have to say that this egg timer really does look the part on my kitchen worktop and it is exactly how I expected it to. The plastic material that the timer is made with makes it easy to wipe clean with a damp sponge and keep looking as good as new. The fact that the price was good for a product that will surely last for a very long time because of it being really quite tough and needing no batteries is again another bonus.
I am really please with my purchase of this item and surprisingly have used it more than I expected to as it is kept close to hand and simple to operate. I think this has to be a top 5 out of 5 star product and I am more than happy to award an exceptional recommendation too!
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
