      Nice, stylish breadbin

When I first moved into my own place (all be it a flat share with my mate) I went wild ordering from catalogues. Us having nothing at all apart from a couple of deckchairs and blow up beds and a pump meant I was continously looking for stuff and on the cheap too or at least with easy ways to pay things off.

I started off with not having a bread bin and storing it in a cupboard which meant it dropped crumbs everywhere or went off unnoticed. I also got a breadbaker as a gift but not being able to store it properly meant that within a day it went hard and lost its freshness which is why one day when I was on the K&co.com website and spotted this for £28.00 I went a little mad and ordered it. With my kitchen at the time having no particular colourscheme I thought this would go well although when I was looking the one that immedietely caught my eye was a black and white polka dot bread bin costing slightly more at £36.00 and I really didn't think it would look right. Please note though that this breadbin is usually on sale at the higher price of £36.00 its just at the moment it is on offer at the price I managed to get it for.

      The Bread Bin:

Well in size it is 38x20x21cms and made from ceramic. It is white in the main and oval shaped to the bottom of it with a good depth and a bright red lid that simply sits on the top well. Around the base of the breadbin and in multicoloured lettering which is rather large and in capitals we are told of course that it is a 'BREADBIN' and to the underneath of the breadbin that it is indeed made by Swan.

I find this big enough for a loaf of standard bread which is what my need is and it does indeed keep the air out and my bread products fresh. It looks nice, is reasonably heavy and dishwasher safe and what is even more is that there are other kitchen products available from this range so you can co-ordinate your kitchen throughout.

At its usual price of £36.00 a breadbin and at £28.00 at the moment it isn't exactly what I think of as cheap although with catalgues I do get to pay a bit off each month (if you want to) but this is a really nice stylish breadbin that is solid and does a fine job!
