I had been using my mothers breadmaker when the plastic cups that came with it for measuring ended up melting a little who would have thought leaving plastic on the top of the oven would be such a bad idea! I decided to look for some cups to replace the ones from the bread maker and I came across these on the internet site cooking time, cooking time is great and sells loads of useful cooking aids and kitchen accessories.
The set of four plastic cups cost £4.50 although having a look at the site now they are selling for £4.75 which doesn't seem to bad a rise to me considering how much everything seems to be going up at the moment. The delivery is free to all uk destinations from this site too so it doesn't add to the price of the item and doesn't mean you have to order loads to get free delivery.
The set comprises of 4 plastic measuring cups which are white in colour, the cups are made of pretty durable plastic although I have learnt my lesson and will not put them on a hot oven again as heat is one thing they cannot withstand too much of. The cups come in 4 different sizes 60ml, 80ml, 120ml and 250mls so there is a good range for measuring out small amountsof things such as yeast for the breamaker.
The cups are attatched to a white plasitc handle and they are circular in shape, each of the little cups has a little lip on the side like a jug has to make pouring your ingredients easy which i find really helpful. The handles of all the cups have a little hole in the end and they are all attatched by a ring of white plastic which can be removed to seperate them as obviously it would be pretty hard to use them wehn they are all attached but the ring is great for keeping them all together in my kitchen drawers. Each of the handles have written on them what the cup hold and they also have the alternative of 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/4 of a cup which is perfect for use with the breadmaker as this is what the recipe measures in.
These cups are easy to use for measuring, they are durable and haven't got any damage to them, the price is decent and they are easy to wash out after use. These are a useful kitchen accessory and I don't think I have anything bad to say about them.
