Advantages: cheap, does its job
Disadvantages: none
When I first moved out of my parent's house, me and my partner decided that we would buy a few cheap kitchen utensils from Tesco to keep us going until we got on our feet and started buying good brand, nicer kitchen utensils.
Among the bits and pieces we bought, was a Tesco Value Slotted Spoon, this is a black spoon that is made out of strong plastic and is very basic and plain and there is no frills or fancy patterns on it, but does its job quite well. This is a light weight spoon as it is made out of plastic and is easy to hold and manage.
I use this Slotted Spoon when I am draining out small bowls of things and also when I am mixing vegetables in the stir fry and it does the job just as well as any other more expensive spoon, I do not really see the point in paying more.
So far this Slotted Spoon has stood the test of time, it has been used almost every day for a year and a halve and is still doing well. Like my Tesco Value Turner however that I also bought, I found that the plastic on my Slotted Spoon has melted a little bit, which makes it a little harder to clean, but the damage isn't too bad and it does not need replaced just yet.
I bought this Slotted Spoon for 37p, which is an absolute bargain in my opinion. It has stood the test of time and is great quality and value for money.
Overall I think that this was a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good bargain. I would give this 5 out of 5 stars.
