Tesco Value Wrapping Foil
Advantages: Cheap, wraps well.
==Price and Availability==
Since moving out of my Mum and Dad's I've been quite shocked by just how much the weekly shopping costs and just the price of things in general. As a result of this I try to make little cut backs on a few things to save myself a bit of money. One of these cut backs is using Tesco Value Foil which is just 90p for a 29cmx 25m roll, which is great value for money as the same size roll in the normal Tesco brand is over £3 and as I just use foil for a bit of cooking and wrapping things up I don't want to be paying that much.
The foil comes with a thin plastic coating with the Tesco Value logo, this packaging is removed as there's no box with the serrated edge which doesn't really bother me as I'm quite good at tearing the foil in a straight line. There's a little paper sticker which allows you to find the beginning of the roll easily and one of the first things you realise when unravelling the foil is that it is quite thin.
The main thing I use foil for is for wrapping up various pieces of leftover food and it does this job just as well as the more expensive foils. The thin foil wraps easily around the food which ensures whatever's wrapped up stays nice a fresh as it's well sealed; this is probably the foils main advantage apart from price.
I only occasionally use the foil during cooking but when I do it does and okay job. Because the foil is thin is doesn't do any substantial cooking and I find when covering food which needs to be kept warm it's best to use two layers. The foil is good for making little parcels though as the thin foil is moulded really easily to create little pockets.
Overall, I think Tesco Value Foil is a good buy and I have used it now for a few months. Although it's thin it wraps things up really well and is easily shaped, although two layers are sometimes needed to strengthen it a bit. The price is great, especially compared to other foils which are available and for me it's something I continue to buy myself and would definitely recommend.
Summary: 4/5 a little bit thin but a great buy.
