Advantages: Works well, cheap

Disadvantages: None

What with a toddler and a puppy my kitchen floor is never clean. I usually vacuum once a day but for those little jobs when you don't want to lug out the massive vacuum cleaner I use a dust pan and brush.

I got my set from Wilkinsons for the ridiculous price of just £0.84. I know Wilko's is cheap but that really is a great bargain especially as I have had this now for a few years and have never needed to replace it. As you would expect this is a two part cleaning product, a brush and a pan. What I like about it is that the brush handle hooks over the handle of the pan and clips on so when you store them the two stay together and so you never have to hunt for either the brush or the pan in your cleaning cupboard.

There is also a small hole in the end of both handles so if you wish to hang this set over a hook in the cupboard you can do that too, to keep it out of the way. My set is a pearlised blue colour but really the colour has nothing to do with the function or use of this product, its just a look.

The brush is really quite strong and thick. It has lots of nylon brushes on it which are placed quite close together so when you brush it over the food/dust etc that you want to pick up it really does pick up pretty much everything. The handle is sturdy and grips well in your hand so you are guaranteed to get a good brush stroke each time. The pan comes with a rubber ellipse which is angles down to touch the floor at the perfect angle so when you are sweeping up your dust/food etc the food gently glides into the pan and does not get caught underneath the pan which I have sometimes found with other dustpans. I think this works because the rubber almost sticks to the floor and makes the pan quite steady as you are ushering things into in. Inside the pan there is a little ledge so if you tip the pan up the food and particles will stay in the pan and not go back onto the floor thus defeating the purpose of you being on your hands and knees scrapping up rubbish!!

The pan has quite a large surface area so it will pick up quite a lot of food in one go. My only downside to this pan is that the handle does not come with a long handle so you can stand up and pick up the food without having to bend down but it does the job it is intended to do at an amazing price!
