When it comes to my kitchen it basically goes from pristine to worse than looking like a tip as the day goes on! I constantly have a flow of people in my home and of course use it to prepare drinks and food and not just for me but others too!
The one area I hate getting all messed up and grotty is my sink. I think a dirty looking sink area makes an already messed up kitchen look even worse which is why the other day I bought this sink tidy for a pound in my local Wilkinson's store.
I had the option of buying this in two colourways which were Angora or a silver shade and I opted for the Angora which is a very light cream colour. Both of them appear the same and its only the colour that is different of course. Size wise this has a height of 16.1cm and so is rather deep and a width of 23.7cm. It is made of slightly shiny looking plastic and feels robust enough. It has 3 sections to it, two sections being square and then one oblong section and the base of it has small holes to it to allow things to drain. You can of course use this for cutlery or do as I do and me, well I keep my washing up supplies in it like sponges and dishclothes and the likes, thats up to you of course.
Keeping it clean is very easy too. I can wipe it down or wash it up and whats good about this is that its of good shape so stands upright at all times without toppling over and the likes no matter how I stack it up!
I think this is a great little buy and like I stated earlier this cost me a pound as its on offer at the moment though usually this still costs the very cheap price of £1.25 and I really like mine and rather impressed by it.
Only available from Wilkinson stores.

I really hate having a messy kitchen so buying things to help keep it tidy is something that is really important to me. I recently bought a Wilko Sink Tidy while stocking up the new university flat. My flatmate is just as picky as I am about everything being neat and tidy so I knew that she would also like this purchase.
As this is a Wilko product, it is only available in store or online. The sink tidy comes in a range of colours although I purchased mine in platinum to match everything else I bought for the kitchen. Price wise, this product costs only £1.25 so it isn't something that will break the bank to keep your kitchen in check. The dimensions of this sink tidy are D: 17.2cm, H: 12.5cm and W: 23.8cm.
To me, this product can be used in two different ways. One way it could be used is as a cutlery drainer, where you can put this on the draining board next to the sink and put all washed cutlery in it. The other, and the way I use it is to store cloths and washing up liquid etc. I have this placed at the side of my sink and in it I put wet cloths that I use for washing up. I hate to see cloths just sitting on the side of the sink or left in the bowl so this is the perfect use for me.
The sink tidy has three different compartments. At the front of the tidy is one large compartment which is the length of the tidy. Then, there are two more at the back of this, one slightly larger than the other. In the front compartment, I place all cloths or scourers and in one of the back compartments I place the washing up liquid. Currently, the third compartment is empty but this could be used for washing brushes etc.
I think that this is a great addition to my kitchen and now something I couldn't be without. It saves having gross, wet cloths lying around or gives a place to cutlery while it dries.
