I do not like to spend a lot of money on useless stuff however there are two categories where I am very happy to invest - electronics and cosmetics. The reason is that by buying quality products will show you the results. In cosmetics I am treating myself for over few years with luxurious La Mer products.
About La Mer brand:
Crème de la Mer is Estée Lauder's signature product. It is a moisturizing cream containing fermented kelp. The product was originally developed by Max Huber who was a physicist for NASA to treat his severe chemical burns which he sustained in an accidental explosion during an experiment.
About La Mer Body Cream:
First I came across La Mer Body Cream few months ago. This cream is very pricey even for a La Mer product. I paid for La Mer Body Cream 300 ml pot whooping £160 and received the product in post just in two days (when ordering from La Mer official website the shipment is very fast - but can be purchased as well from Amazon and other various online stores).
The Cream is very easy apply on the skin and spreads up very nicely - due to this you need to apply just a small amount. The pot lasts quite long, I am still using my first one. The cream is a great moisturizer, it really changed my skin from dry to smooth and soft. This product delivers what it promises and is absolutely worth the money.
I would definitely recommend this product.
La Mer Body Cream was a gift from my brother and sister as it is rather pricey for the 300ml pot at £160.00. It also comes in a 100ml pot for under £55.00
The cream is soft, it soothes and renews skin and you can use it all over your body. It spreads quite far so not much is needed. It smells delicate but you still get the odd waft through the day. It is not scented with perfume.
It is likened to a seaweed wrap (La Mer uses many botanical ingredients from the sea) in a jar as this cream is rich but hydrates at the same time. It sinks deep into the skin leaving you feel moisturised for the whole day. It is meant to improve circulation and break the cycle of dryness giving the skin a supple feeling.
I honestly didn't feel like I needed to apply it daily which I found surprising but I guess it's because its so rich and hydrating. It does mean it last longer which is a bonus. It is not greasy feeling and it sinks in quickly.
I was very happy with it and would buy it over and over again as I find I use it less that other moisturisers. I get very itchy skin in certain months, so much so that I make my skin bleed so I need to keep moisturised and my skin hydrated and La Mer Body Cream really gives me those results so its worth the expense.
Disputes over the body cream La Mer was silent for a long time, but the views were very controversial, many say that it is not worth the money it is a lot cheaper counterparts (many of them even compare with Nivea cream that I actually big surprise, and someone on the contrary prefers only to him. Now, my wife and I belong to those who believe that it is impossible to replace. My wife believes that all individually that it gives an effect which is not yet gave no other cream, the skin he has approached 100%. I every year on international women's day give her the cream.
As my wife's skin is combination, oily, large pores, occasionally there are inflammation and clogged pores, winter adds peeling, so with such Luggage handles only the creme La Mer. The main requirements is that he watered, fed and eliminate inflammation.
The manufacturer stated that the main function of the cream:
-removal of irritation
And I can confidently say that it copes with everything and even more. He was still visibly tightens pores, reduces inflammation, and my wife they now appear much less frequently and are going fast. It is in the texture of the gel, so he came up to my wife (although it would seem for oily skin it should be more appropriate). The cream is absorbed quickly, glides on well, but it has to be applied heated.
The only drawback cream La Me, is its price. Because it is still not cheap.
