Advantages: It works, Handy pump

Disadvantages: Expensive

The La Mer range also includes an oil-absorbing emulsion, which I was recommended to use instead of the Creme.
Since turning 30 I've experienced much more oilyness which builds up over the day. I've had to use powder or a mattifying gel (eg Clarins) to prevent shine at key moments.
I can honestly swear that using the La Mer emulsion as a daily moisturiser has eliminated almost any shine - I can feel confident that my make-up will look great all day and my skin feels comfortable. I also used this product during a long-haul flight recently (after cleansing with a handy makeup-removal wipe), applying it 2-3 times during the flight - again, none of the oilyness/dryness I usually get and I landed with my skin feeling wonderful and silky-soft.
The only problem is the price - it is criminally expensive, even in the US where its made.
