Advantages: It probably gets rust off cars, You can give it someone you hate

Disadvantages: cost, itchy skin, bloated

I know exactly where you go when you start reading and seeing articles on the Miracle Cream - think twice please before spending a fortune. My story is not typical from what I have read, but it cost me a bomb for this cream and I think you should know why I hate it...

I read about it, researched it a bit more, looked at everything else, and then back to that time and again - 'Gotta try it' I thought. I spent a fortune with a very reputable USA store - Oh, I couldn't just buy the cream - went all out, had to be greedy, bought the eye balm, cream, and a starter pack with the toner, cleanser etc etc. My visa was screaming 'stop-it'

It was delivered.
Day one - just used a little bit of the cream before bed as I'd come home late after work to find it there, but with no time to indulge properly. Next day my face was itchy, but I did not think much about it at the time...

Day Two - Saturday night, going out - Had time to indulge, so, cleanse, tone, bit of eye cream (had 3-times the potency, so thats bound to be great) on went the creme de la mer cream - what a treat. As soon as I walked in our club someone thats known me ages said - you look great, oh thank you - enjoying my new found miracle, and as the night went on, the glow that was not initial, but seemed to appear once my makeup was on, was ever so slowly turning into a red rashy itchy nightmare.

The next day, I woke up a little the worse for a few bacardi's, and went into the bathroom (as you do), already itching my face, and couldn't seem to open my eyes, you know the feeling....... Then the shock of my life!
'oh my god!'
I looked like I'd been in the ring for 10 rounds with Tyson. One eye was a squarey triangle shape, the other nearly closed. My face was totally puffed up, and all around my eyes was puffed out and swollen. The shape of my face was distorted and I looked like a totally different person. I have never been so
scared in all my days. I rushed back to my hubby, and screamed look at my face - Oh my goodness, what is it? Whats happened to you? You look awful. He thought I must of been stung by something. I looked like I had that plastic makeup stuff on that they use in the movies to make thin people look old and fat... but worse.

This lasted about a week or so, going down very gradually. My first day in work was spent repeating what it was that caused it. All I was hearing was, I use nivea, always have, always will. You can't beat L'oreal / Almay / Clarins and so on... I know, I know, I will in future, don't worry.

So - to sum up - yes, it gets rid of wrinkles - but for me, it bloated my face out till I had no spare skin to bloat, filling every little crack and wrinkle to a smooth itchy rashy mis-shaped balloon - but no wrinkles!

So I now have loads of this stuff that I am considering putting on ebay - but not sure its fair to pass it on.

After this I started to look up this cream a bit more, and found one or 2 similar stories to mine. I then decided to start trying to find something on the net that showed some before and after pics of Max Hubers experience (the person that discovered this cream after suffering horrific burns. Surprisingly, no matter how long I searched and how deep I went - into medical journals, nasa info relating to him, skin care history, etc etc - everything - and there is none. Now, the internet has got everything on it, hasn't it? - and this man was brilliant, and his family have benefitted from this cream - so surely, just one photo in the world media would exist somewhere - No! So, I'm sorry, but I have decided that there's something not quite right about that now.

This was my experience, I hate the stuff, but, as a lot have said, it must do some people the world of good, its very famous, very expensive, and not easy to get.
If your anything like me though, hearing one bad rev
iew won't stop you when you read all the great bumf on this. But whatever you do, do not spend a fortune on it straight off. The eye balm is the most potent, and I think that if you are going to like it, (and it likes you) then you might as well use the most potent a bit more sparingly - getting the maximum benefit for the expense. And just buy one item first.

I stick to simpler things now and have a nice clear complexion - and decided my wrinkles don't matter that much nowadays anyway.

But my advice would be don't waste your money. Buy nivea/l'oreal/almay - anything but this so called miracle cream.

Apologies to anyone waiting for theirs to be delivered - I'm sure it will be just fine and my reaction was rare. Just don't break the bank straight-off (just in case your not).

This is a great review! I was shopping with a friend and we walked by the Creme de la mer counter.
I paid alot of money for this cream, not expecting miracles, but just what it claimed to do. I used it for
a month. Then I noticed bumps in my forehead, went to the dermotologist, he had to manually extract them. This was from using creme de la mer, he said it was made from petroleum which is a very cheap ingrediant used in skin preperations. When open the jar it does have a very cheap smell to it ,it reminds
me of something you would find in a drugstore at the fraction of the price.
Also to remedy this my dermotologist , hat to treat me twice with extractions(billed to my insurance co
as outpatient surgery for around $1,600)So I think that everyone should be aware of Creme DE LA MEr
