Another over-hyped item.. I've given in to the pressure and decided to try the creme and the eye balm, though I've scrounged the teeny GWP's from friends as I have sensitive skin and I'm not willing to risk the un-godly ammount of money they charge on these things.

I'm a non-believer unless I see the results for myself.. So I went in as a skeptic and have come out somewhere in the middle ground.

The creme sat on my skin for so long.. and in the morning, the spots appeared. I rarely get spots of any kind, so I cleansed thoroughly with my trusty Chanel skincare, then re-applied the La Mer in the evening, in the tinyest ammount. It hung around for a while and eventually sunk in. After a week of this, my dry skin went to dramatically greasy. I didn't notice any major improvments, though I don't have any facial lines as yet for it to work on. The main thing I was looking for was an easing of the dryness I'm used to. I guess in a way it worked, just not a particularly pleasant way. I have no desire to try the lotion after this..

The eye balm, on the other hand, is almost my new holy grail. I had a few fine lines which are totally gone, it doesnt sit on the skin, reduction in dark circles, and silky soft skin (makes for easy makeup application). But... and there's always a but... For the ammount of money it costs, I think I can live with the lines for a few more years, and spend the cash on some Chanel Anti-Taches. I'd highly reccomend this though - to anyone with deep lines, and rough skin around the eyes. I've also found it suitable for EXTREME sensitive skin (I'm allergic to Lancome/Lauder eye products).

To recap: Creme = pants, eye balm = something I'll invest in when I'm 30, even though the packaging is ultra naff.
