Before I purchased this product I really liked the sound of it, and thought it would be a less time consuming solution for when my skin became dry and in need of moisturising.
That wasn't the reality though, and the mist didn't help me achieve the effect it was described as capable of online.
I feel that I wasted £65, which is quite disappointing as I enjoy most products by La Mer.
La Mer describe it as 'Ideal for travel. Also recommended for men after shaving. Mist onto face and neck anytime skin feels dry. Can be sprayed onto cotton pads and applied to closed eyelids for several minutes to revive tired eyes and relax dry tension lines.'
I did exactly as described, sprayed it onto my face and neck whenever my skin felt dry. It didn't really do anything spectacular, just made my face feel wet and a bit sticky afterwards. The smell was a little odd also, too sweet for my liking, almost sickly. I dabbed it onto my closed eyelids on a cotton pad also and found I would have achieved the same effect simply with using water.
It is honestly a product which is emphasised far too much and I'm glad I sold the 3/4 bottle on eBay after my bad experience with it. La Mer are really slipping nowadays whereas 5 years ago all their products had the same consistent quality - I will definitely be more skeptical to just order things from them nowadays.
The one thing I can comment on as positive is the nice bottle... it's strong and made of quality material so it won't break easily when smashed. The 100ml of liquid looks nice in it and gives the product an attractive appearance.
Upon reading other reviews for this product online, I can't understand why it hasn't given me as beautiful an effect as other people have experienced, but I know it didn't suit me and I wasn't impressed. I strongly recommend trying it first if you can before spending the money, as it is expensive.
