Up until recently I have always relied on other people to do my diy and things like that. I've never really been without a guy in my life and if I needed a lightbulb changing or whatever I'd get them to do it for me to be honest lol.
However a few months back after kicking my ex into touch I decided enough was enough. I don't want a man right now but it'd leave me with a problem! Who was going to do my odd jobs?
Well me of course, scared of heights or not. I moved into this flat and I had lampshades to put up, a set of curtains to pop on a rail and the top of my kitchen cupboards were caked in grease. Since sorting them problems out I have used these to stand on and to scrub damp off my ceiling and allsorts and have actually overcome my fear of heights finally!
I purchased these aluminium, lightweight 5 stepped ladder from Argos and they cost me £29.99. What appealed to me about these when I saw them in the catalogue was not only that they are a tall ladder which means I wouldn't need any other sized step ladder at a later date but also the fact that they are lightweight cos me, well I'm not the strongest person in the world and am a bit of a lightweight myself.
So to use them you pull them apart. They have 4 black rubber 'feet' on them and each step is reasonably wide with integrated lines on them to give us extra grip, the handrail is the same and of course there are 4 steps which all feel sturdy and a platform that I guess you could stand on if you really wanted to though I never have but have used it as a shelf to pop things I'm using on though this is a five step item so I guess it is meant to be used as a step too!
These I find great though. They don't wobble so I don't need someone to stand at the bottom to keep me safe and they don't mark my lamanate floor or anything adverse like that. They pull apart with ease, fold back together simply and I have no issues with these at all and consider them a great buy. I have no idea the height these give but they are quite a tall set of ladders and me, I'll never need another set in my home!
Only available from Argos.
Summary: Great step ladders!
